1) Preface

Welcome to MyWavelength.com. We very much hope that you will have many fruitful and enjoyable hours on our site. Please read all the Terms and Conditions before joining any area of our website as a member. If you are browsing you are welcome to do so, but please bear in mind that whenever you visit the site for whatever reason all the Terms and Conditions apply. Terms and Conditions may well change in the future and whilst we will endeavour to notify visitors to the site of any changes it is the responsibility of every person using the site to check on the Terms and Conditions on a regular basis.

2) About MyWavelength.com

This website is designed to be for the individual. It is not run for the convenience or interests of clubs or other organisations. Neither is it controlled with a bias towards any advertiser. All claims made by any organisation are their interpretation of the facts and not endorsed by MyWavelengh.com. We ask you as individuals to notify us if any organisation fails to deliver goods, services, or a level of service that can be reasonably expected. We aim to undertake appropriate action when we receive complaints. It is important to understand that MyWavelength.com does not accept responsibility for the accuracy, opinions, content or validity of any publication whatsoever.

Individuals must also understand that the monitoring of e-mails will not be undertaken as a matter of course, and all information passed between individuals are the responsibility of the author. The receiver of information must verify the accuracy of the information received through their own resources.

3) Membership

There are currently two types of membership to this website.

a) Membership to the Health website – Anybody in the world is free to apply to join the Health site. MyWavelength.com reserves the right to refuse that application, or revoke that membership without explanation. Further, all persons under the age of legal responsibility must ensure that their parent, responsible adult or legal guardian has been notified of this application and has agreed with the Terms and Conditions of MyWavelength.com. Where the age of legal responsibility is not clear and laid down by the appropriate statute, MyWavlength.com will assume the age of 18 years to be the age of legal responsibility.

Organisations, clubs, charities, advertisers and even individuals may offer opinions and suggestions which purport to affect an individual’s health and well being: -

ANY INFORMATION SENT OR RECEIVED ON THE HEALTH SITE SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN AT FACE VALUE. IF ANY ADVICE, OPINION, OR COURSE OF ACTION IS SUGGESTED OR IMPLIED, PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE MUST BE SOUGHT BEFORE ANY ACTION IS TAKEN.

THIS SITE IS FOR INDIVIDUALS TO HELP EACH OTHER AND THEMSELVES THROUGH DIFFICULT TIMES. PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR OR HEALTH WORKER BEFORE YOU TRY ANY ALTERNATIVE TREATMENT OR MEDICATION.

MyWavelength.com will not take any responsibility for any course of action taken by an individual as a result of looking at any material on the website. Further, any communication undertaken on this website whether sent or received is the responsibility of the author. E-mails will not be monitored for content on a routine basis.

Membership of the Health site does not give access to the benefits of the Interest site. In order to do this please consider becoming a full member.

b) Full Membership – This area of the website is for individuals who wish to communicate with like-minded individuals around the world. A fee is payable at the time of registration through a secure network. Once the payment has been authorised by the appropriate organisation Full Membership will be granted. Full Membership entitles the individual who is registered full access to the Health and Interest sites. The joining fee may be varied at any time, but once paid entitles the registered individual 12 months membership. Although we reserve the right to change membership fees at any time, existing members will not be affected until their annual renewal when the then current fee will be due for a further 12 months.

MyWavelength.com reserves the right to refuse that application, or revoke that membership without explanation (see section 8 Misuse and Complaints). As Full Members it is especially important that individual members read and accept the Terms and Conditions of both the Health and Interest site.

c) Non-members – Non-members are welcome to browse the site but will not be able to communicate with any other individuals or post messages. Any person browsing the site as a Non-member is still bound by the Terms and Conditions of the site whenever they are looking at it.

4) Registration

At the time of registration you will be required to provide MyWavelength.com with correct details in all the relevant areas. We do not operate as a server; therefore you will need to provide internet access, the necessary software, and a personal e-mail address in order to use the site. On receiving an accepted and authorised membership we undertake to send you a receipt e-mail with simple instructions and basic registration details. Please follow the steps included in this receipt.

5) General Terms

  • Although individual members and other users are prohibited from passing information from this site to a third party, be aware that this may happen. It is also possible that people may claim to have a title, name or skill that they do not possess. It is important that you apply the same caution to the information you receive or read as you would in normal everyday life. We cannot accept any responsibility for the truth in any article, e-mail, bulletin board, advertisement, profile, or any other depiction or communication contained on the site. By accepting the Terms and Conditions you indemnify us to the extent that is lawful for any liability resulting in the use of this site.
     
  • You are responsible for the material that is posted on our website from you or through your account. It is your responsibility not to infringe the Intellectual Property or Copyright of any other person. You may not use any part of this site to breach any law whether criminal or civil. You are responsible for any misleading or unreliable information, and any offensive, threatening, obscene, or harassing material.
     
  • In the event that any part of the Terms and Conditions is determined to be illegal, invalid or for any other reason unenforceable it shall be severed and deleted from the Terms and Conditions and the remaining Terms and Conditions shall survive. The remaining Conditions will continue to be binding and enforceable. The laws of England and Wales shall govern the Terms and Conditions.
     
  • MyWavelength.com may wish to delete, modify, or improve any aspect of MyWavelength.com website. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you accept that this may be done.
     
  • Due to technical difficulties, maintenance, and improvements to the site there may be occasions when the website is unavailable. Wherever possible we will undertake to notify you of any planned downtime. However there may be occasions when this is not possible. By joining the website you accept that there may be periods of downtime.

6) Termination

You may terminate your membership to MyWavelength.com at any time and for any reason. Termination means you will be able to remove yourself permanently from any record held on the site. No refund of joining fee already paid will be given on termination.

7) Copyright

All rights including Copyright and Database right in MyWavelength.com website and its contents are owned by MyWavelength.com. In accessing MyWavelength.com web pages you agree that you will access the contents solely for your own private use and not for any commercial or public use. You understand that MyWavelength.com owns all Copyright, Intellectual Property and Trademarks including material contributed by members. No one may copy, distribute or exhibit any information or material found within the site without the express agreement of MyWavelength.com. Any material submitted to the website whether it is displayed or not will become the property of MyWavelength.com to be used in any way deemed fit. Any ideas and suggestions submitted to the website also become the property of MyWavelength.com and may be used royalty free with a right to copy, modify or distribute as deemed fit.

8) Misuse and Complaints

All persons using this site have a right to expect to be treated with dignity, privacy and respect. MyWavelength.com will examine all complaints. We reserve the right to edit or require an individual to edit any information posted on the site. By entering MyWavelength.com you accept that we may suspend or terminate any membership without explanation. The decision to do so will be made by MyWavelength.com, its agents or employees. Each individual member is responsible for any activity whilst logged on to MyWavelength.com. We would ask you to be careful with your security, as you are responsible as an individual for your account. If your account details are found to be published on the internet your account will be immediately terminated and, if appropriate, legal action will be taken.

If the Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full you do not have permission to access the contents of MyWavelength.com website, and therefore should cease using the website immediately.

9) Indemnity

We will not be liable to an individual or any other third party for any indirect loss or damage; this includes loss of revenue, business, data or profit. You agree to indemnify us against all liabilities arising from any breach in the agreement or through the device that is used to access our website.

10) Privacy and the Individuals

MyWavelength.com believes in protecting the privacy of its users personal information. It complies with the Data Protection Laws of the United Kingdom and will be updated when deemed necessary.

MyWavelength.com obviously collects personal information when you register:

  • Cookies – MyWavelength.com may set access cookies on your computer. When you enter our site your computer will automatically be issued with a cookie.   • The information held by MyWavelength.com may be made available and used by any part of this company or its subsidiaries. Accordingly, should a third party acquire MyWavelength.com in whole or majority part the transfer of personal data may be made to that party.
     
  • Your MyWavelength.com account information is password protected. For security reasons we reserve the right to require you to change that password. You would be notified if this was the case.
