Hello,

I am supporting my sister through her anal cancer chemoradiation treatment.
She has had one cycle of chemo so far, administered through a central port in her chest. Her drugs are Cisplatin and then 5FU which is on a slow release by a pump (micro-infuser).
She has to date had about 15 sessions of radiotherapy.
We know this is quite a rare cancer. Her symptoms were blood loss and the discovery of a lump, which initially she thought was in the vagina, but was diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma in the anal canal.
What stage are you at in your treatment, and how is it going?
Nice to be able to communicate with someone with the same diagnosis.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sulis.

Please do get in touch to relay how you are getting on with your anal cancer treatment. My sister is having lots of unpleasant side effects from the radiotherapy, and was very sick with the first lot of chemo. Would be interested to swap information with you. Thanks.
